Our clients’ best interests are at the heart of everything we do at Claytons.

Before we make a decision on pretty much any level we ask ourselves ‘by doing this will we deliver a better service to people?’

I’m often asked why we don’t have flashy cars with our logo splashed all over them.

Well experience has taught us that while this may be want an agency wants it’s not what most clients want and certainly not what they need.

We know that when a couple are divorcing confidentiality and a sensitive approach is called for. The last thing people in that situation want is an estate agent’s logo on wheels screeching up as the neighbours peep through the curtains.

We have a predominantly female team for a reason. The ladies in our office are all sensitive, caring and empathetic. I’d like to think I am too.

These attributes are often called upon when we are dealing with sales caused by a loved one dying.

Nearly all of our team have gone through similar situations so life experience teaches us the best way to handle it so the clients’ best interests are served.

Claytons blog was created to give light hearted but hopefully useful property related thoughts and advice. David started his career at former family firm, Weller Hill Hubble aged 17. The company was later purchased by General Accident property services and David went on to become their youngest ever manager and Area Director. However, disenchanted with corporate life he decided to return to his old roots and start a personal, service driven Estate agency. In 1991 Claytons was born and has grown into one of Watfords most well known and successful businesses. Outside of work David , who still lives locally is married with 3 children and a cockapoo called Teddy.
